"Revision Plan"

Dear Professor Mc.Cormick,

I was dissatisfied with the grade that I received on my essay. I really thought that I would've gotten a better grade. As I'm reading your notes on my paper I see several points that I did not include in my essay. I know next time I will definitely have a work cited page on where I found my evidence from. I will also try my best to organize my essay better as far as the dates I'm using and also time, I can see how a reader might get confused reading my essay. Lastly, I want to say that I will make my sentences simple as possible, so that they can make sense to the reader. Adding to much to one sentence might make it hard to understand or just not make sense at all. In the last part of my essay you say I contradicted myself, that wasn't my intention. I just wanted to point out that saccharin was still being used by diabetics, but still feel that it can be dangerous to someones health. Now I know that I need to step my game up and work harder on the next paper, so my next grade will definitely improve.

Are things always as sweet as they taste?

Sacchrine is an artificial sweetener. Some products that contain sacchrine are as followed, sweet & low and even some sodas carry this chemical. Sacchrine was first produced in 1878 by a man whose name was Constantine Fahlberg. This is just a little information on sacchrine. When I am done with this assignment you will have the knowledge of knowing that if you consume large amounts of sacchrine into your system, it can be hazardous to your health. It can lead to you being diagnosed with cancer.

How to improve the food and food education at a school

Many years ago i can almost remember on what the food was like in the school i attended. Now many years have gone passed and i now have a child who attends school and eats the food that schools are serving. She enjoys it, but i just say if there was a way, How could we improve the food and food education at our schools.
One way we can improve the food and food education in our schools is by having a spokesperson or a dietician to visit schools once a week and discuss what it is to eat healthy and whats not. Maybe she can mention to students who enjoy playing sports or any other recreation in school that keeping a healthy diet is very important for them. This diet can help them play more effectively and perform better in what they do. Such as, cheerleaders, basketball, track or any recreation in school. Keeping a healthy diet can help a child develop bones and eating habits.
Another way to help out our schools are to show them some consequenses. We can explain if they dont watch what their eating this can become a serious problem. Such as, obesity or illnesses in their future. We have children eating chips and soda all day from the vending machines on school premises. If your eating hamburgers and fries at school lunch everyday, this can cause for a student to become obese.
We can also have fundraising at our schools. We can have talent shows, sell candy and have bake sales, so we can raise enough money to feed our students better meals. We can serve healthy, natural grown food. Maybe we can sell only organics if possible. We can have a variety of food for our students to choose from. Knowing that what their choosing is much healthier.
Lastly, i would like to say by improving the food and food education at our schools can become a better influence on their choices when eating. This is why i commend this idea.

Wow! it's been about forty eight hours passed and I'm still in shock of what I have seen in the film that we watched in my English class. Thanks to my professor Dr. Lizzie Mc.Cormick for opening my eyes on what I'm cooking next at home or even eating in general.
Supermarkets carry over 47,000 products. The industry doesn't want us to know the truth on what your eating, because if you did, you might not want to eat it. For example, tomatoes are first green then their ripened with gas in order to become red. I had no clue of this. Lots of animals are being abused just so that they can get food that they need to sell to supermarkets, so we can buy and eat. The first restaurant came about in the 1930's. The workers were payed very little because they were only trained to do one thing, which was to flip the burgers. By the time the 1970's came about they were the top five beef packers and controlled 80% of companies. We now eat meat who are reproduced by these companies. Today farmers no longer control the bird. All birds must be the same size coming off of the farm. Birds are being slaughtered. Antibiotics are put into the feed to kill any bacteria in the chicken. Carol Contract, a farmer who was honest enough to be filmed. So we saw the process on how it works as far as the chicken business. Other companies such as, Perdue and Tyson declined on being filmed. Maybe they weren't doing the right thing. Maybe their minds were set on if you can grow a chicken and get one in forty nine days, why want one every three months. They might have made a bigger and quicker profit this way. Unfortunately Carol refused to upgrade and raise chickens in a dark house, so she was terminated. Thirty percent or our land basis is planted by corn. It has conquered the world for many years. Corn can be used for many purposes. Such as for, corn syrups and absorbic acids. Larry Johnson says this food is engineered so it keeps from getting stale. Cows are fed corn so that they get fat quicker and it's also much cheaper. When in reality they should be eating grass. Ammonia has also become a processing tool to try and kill bacteria in your food. A food that is cleansed with this chemical is none another than the hamburger. Our food system has been skewed to bad calories because it's very cheap to buy. One in every three minorities that was born after the year 2000 will become in contact with diabetes. Some bacteria that can be found in your food without you being aware can be, ecoli or even salmonella. Your peanut butter can have salmonella in it,or even ecoli may be found in food such as, spinach, juice and even meats. We have more technology being utilized, but food is still being contaminated. As for a family who went on a vacation back in July,2001. When they bought their little son Kevin a hamburger, twelve days later he would be dead. He was diagnosed with ecoli and his kidneys failed on him. Just from eating a hamburger. They now have a Kevin's law, but food is still out there not processed or grown in the right manner. A shock that i came across, was not knowing that some foods we eat consist of some diesel oil. Is this right? Doesn't this harm person in some type of way? Why are farmers or companies being allowed to continue this crime? Why aren't they being penalized for this? Money isn't everything. Maybe if a tragedy happens to one of their closest family members, maybe then it can change. Food can be handled in the right way. But then it's too late for that individual who has experienced the act of being food poisoned. I wish that this can stop and they can step back and think not only are they harming animals but innocent people who were hungry and just needed to eat.
